Chakra Series - Healing The Heart

In this class we will learn all about the heart Chakra or Anahata in Sanskrit meaning “infinite” or “boundless” The heart is the bridge between the lower Chakras (Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus) and the upper Chakras (Throat, Third Eye and Crown). The Heart Chakra is related to love… being able to love and receive love. Feeling kindness and compassion for yourself and others and having a sense of “we” instead of “I.”  During this class you will learn all about the Heart Chakra and how to identify when it is overactive or deficient and how to heal and release blocks. The last hour will be dedicated to Yoga poses to open and heal the heart.  Sam will lead you through a restorative yoga sequence. Restorative Yoga is fully supported with props and each pose is held for 10 minutes allowing you to completely relax. While you are resting in each pose I will go around and utilize the ancient healing power of Reiki to enhance your relaxation and reduce stress. The combination of healing energy and mindful movement will leave you feeling lighter, peaceful and completely relaxed.
